But who are we? Here’s our story.
True to Its Name and Words Since 1996
TV Tools, founded in 1996, and its subsidiary Media Tailor, founded in 2015, have provided groundbreaking work that has benefited countless companies across the media landscape.
In 2024, the two came together to become one.
Our story began in January 1996 when Timo Kujala founded TV Tools at the dawn of digitalization in the media industry. The pioneering efforts of this young company were not easy.
However, success in demanding projects and Timo’s unwavering commitment to customer service and relentless drive paid off. By the end of the decade, the company’s visionary approach had revolutionized the media industry and solidified its place within it.
Founded in 2015, Media Tailor expanded our service offerings in the broadcaster segment and began developing its own cloud service. It was a logical extension of TV Tools’ technological expertise.
In 2019, Media Tailor launched Media Pocket, an innovative media management platform that quickly became a strategically significant addition to both companies’ service portfolios. This collaboration demonstrated the seamless synergy between the two companies.
Over the years, our work has grown to encompass all the technological needs of media production, management, and distribution.
But the media landscape is vast, with diverse needs across companies and individuals. We knew it wasn’t time to rest on our laurels.

With internationalization on the horizon, it was a logical and strategic step in our nearly 30-year success story to come together and embark on a shared journey. After all, we already shared premises and even some of our customers.
2024 will be remembered as a pivotal year in our company’s story. The fusion secured our place at the forefront of technological development well into the future.
