Media Pocket’s 2025 Development Highlights
When Media Pocket launched in 2019, we set out to build the most efficient workflow-streamlining MAM solution ever created. Year after year, we’ve ridden the waves of an evolving industry, advancing the platform step by step toward that vision. 2025 continued that journey.
This year, we zeroed in on what matters most to our users: faster performance, smarter search, better integrations, and a more intuitive interface.
Here are some key milestones from the past year.
Streamlining your creative workflows
In 2025 we expanded Media Pocket’s creative workflow capabilities with seamless Adobe integrations for Premiere Pro and Photoshop. These extensions bring your entire media library directly into your editing environment, allowing you to search, preview, and import assets without leaving your creative workspace.
With a capable API, it’s possible to build similar integrations with all kinds of creative platforms in a blink of an eye!

Processing improvements
In 2025, we focused heavily on Media Pocket’s processing power and re-engineering our queue system to deliver fair, high-speed media uploads. This new architecture significantly reduced bottlenecks during peak usage times. It ensures that all users experience consistent upload speeds regardless of file size or format.
Project inbox
It’s now possible to create inboxes with upload links for your projects. It’s a convenient way to request assets from external users.
Contributors can now upload files directly without needing an account, while project owners maintain full control over which assets are accepted into their collections. The streamlined workflow has proven especially valuable for agencies collaborating with freelance photographers and clients submitting content for review.

IPTC data improvements
We’ve significantly expanded our IPTC metadata support, now reading and preserving a more comprehensive set of fields from your images. Users can now edit these IPTC fields directly within Media Pocket and write the updated metadata into the file upon download.

Search filter enhancements
Media Pocket’s search has gotten significant enhancements for a more reliable and intuitive experience. We’ve introduced advanced filtering capabilities that make it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for, whether you’re managing thousands of assets or navigating complex project hierarchies.
Key improvements include relative date filters that support dynamic time ranges like “last 7 days” or “past month,” eliminating the need to manually update date parameters. The content type filter now stays active until you explicitly remove it, maintaining your search context as you work. When you navigate into a specific project or collection, Media Pocket now intelligently scopes your search to that specific area, while keeping your focus where it needs to be.
We’ve also added pinned search filters. It allows you to save your most frequently used filter combinations for instant access. Project searches now include the ability to drill down through sub-projects, surfacing assets from entire project trees with a single query. Additional filters let you search by custom field groups and identify projects containing assets at any level of their hierarchy.
These enhancements work together to dramatically reduce the time spent hunting for files.

UI
In 2025 we remained committed to improving our end-users’ experience through thoughtful interface refinements and performance optimizations. The search interface received a major overhaul, with the results and options bar consolidated into a single, cleaner row. We’ve introduced pinnable columns that stick to the left side of tables, keeping critical information visible as you scroll. Simply toggle their visibility with the “Sticky” button.
Performance improvements included significantly faster search results and enhanced video proxy generation. The article tool received a complete renewal with improved formatting options and a cleaner interface. We also invested heavily in mobile scalability throughout the platform, ensuring Media Pocket delivers a fully functional experience regardless of which device you’re using from smartphones to tablets to desktop workstations.

Search configurations and table presets
Users can now have multiple search configurations saved, and admins are able to modify the “Default” configuration for all users.
This feature allows individuals to create purpose-built search setups for different workflows whether reviewing recent uploads, auditing metadata, or preparing client deliveries.
In addition, admins can now modify the default table view configuration and automatically apply it as the default for all users’ tables.
Administrators can establish organizational standards through these default configurations. It helps new team members get productive immediately while experienced users maintain the freedom to customize their own setups.
API improvements
Media Pocket’s API capabilities have been improved significantly, making it faster and more flexible for tech-savvy users or developers building custom workflows and integrations.
We’ve streamlined our Search API by adding sorting for custom and basic metadata fields. By allowing custom field data and media URLs to be included directly in search responses, we’ve made data retrieval faster and more efficient than ever.
We’ve also optimized performance across several endpoints by eliminating redundant database queries. It has resulted in noticeably faster response times for all your integrations.
CDN publishing channel
We’ve also expanded Media Pocket’s content distribution methods by adding a CDN (content delivery network) as an additional service to the sharing features. Media Pocket’s CDN enables seamless media asset sharing to your end devices, accelerating the path from content storing to public availability.
Teams can now publish and update already published media files with only a couple of clicks, optimizing delivery performance for end users while maintaining centralized control over which assets go live and when.

Time to make your life MAMtastic?
These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to making Media Pocket not just more powerful, but genuinely more pleasant to use every day.
