Media Tailor Has Invested in SPX Graphics to Accelerate HTML Graphics Adoption in the Nordics and Beyond
We have invested in SPX Graphics to support delivering OGraf-ready solutions across the Nordics through joint sales, support, and implementation. You can meet both companies at a joint stand 1.B25 at IBC2025.
Media Tailor has started a collaboration with SPX to internationalize the SPX Graphics product, with a primary focus on the Nordic market. Our investment in SPX is part of Media Tailor’s internationalization strategy.
SPX Graphics is an advanced HTML graphics system that supports the new EBU OGraf standard and is particularly suited for TV, broadcast, and production operations. HTML graphics use open web technologies instead of closed, manufacturer-specific systems to produce visual elements layered over video or embedded within a broadcast.
With EBU’s work, we’ll now have common rules and clear guidance for HTML graphics. This will significantly simplify implementation for broadcasting. Partnering with SPX Graphics ensures that our customers are equipped with solutions that fully comply with EBU’s direction while unlocking the full potential of HTML graphics.
— Markus Paul, COO of Media Tailor Group
The cooperation includes joint marketing, sales, customer project delivery, and technical support. Moving forward, we will be responsible for sales, implementation, and support services for the product in the Nordic countries.
The standard has been created to help broadcasters move to a new, flexible solution. HTML graphics offer a modern, agile, and cost-effective way to deliver broadcast visuals. With this partnership, we’re positioned to help the industry through this transition in the best possible way.
— Tuomo Kulomaa, CEO of SPX Graphics

SPX is one of the first companies to develop solutions that support the OGraf standard. It has been an active member of the EBU’s working group from the beginning and has contributed directly to the standard’s development.
The EBU’s final version of the OGraf standard is expected to be officially released in September 2025 at the IBC trade show in Amsterdam.
SPX’s OGraf-compatible solution includes a built-in server for hosting OGraf assets, a browser-based interface for managing and playing back graphics, and the capability to simultaneously produce up to 20 OGraf graphics across multiple outputs.
Media Tailor and SPX Graphics are no strangers to collaboration. In fact, Media Tailor was one of the first companies in Finland to adopt HTML graphics back in 2020 for their customer Nelonen Media.
To share all of the exciting developments, we will be sharing a booth at IBC2025, where we will each showcase our vision of how HTML graphics will fit into the workflows of broadcasters and productions.
In today’s media environment, collaboration is key. HTML graphics are more relevant than ever, and EBU’s standard proves it. We’re excited to showcase what this means in practice at IBC2025.
