The first half of 2025 has been packed with exciting developments in media asset management, AI, and other forward-looking technologies. Whether it’s production, management, or distribution, our mission remains the same: to make powerful technology feel effortless for our customers. We’ve collected some of our key highlights from the past few months.
Saving Banijay Finland’s time and recourses with Technology-as-a-Service
Banijay Finland is one of the largest production companies in Finland. It is the first to adopt our TaaS service package, which also includes comprehensive IT services.
By having TaaS, Banijay saves time and resources while gaining a partner that builds a seamless, fully integrated system tailored to its needs.
New workflows and storytelling techniques with Yle’s new and IP-based news studios
Finland’s most iconic Yle’s news studios have been brought into the modern era following an ambitious two-year renovation at Pasila. We played a key role in the project, which not only upgraded the technology but also transformed the way of working.
The outdated SDI technology was replaced with a modern IP-based solution (ST 2110). It enables a scalable, flexible, and long-lasting system architecture.
Media Pocket efficiently manages Russmedia’s archive of more than 10 million assets
Russmedia is an Austrian media house with two daily newspapers, six weeklies, and over 40 online platforms and apps, reaching 115 million visits and 1.2 billion page views monthly.
Together with Russmedia, we implemented a digital asset management solution, integrating Media Pocket cloud archive into newsroom workflows.
Despite the project’s scale, the solution was delivered on schedule in under three months!
4K UHD and surround sound for Ruutu
We played a key role in developing and implementing the media management backend processes and technical solutions for Ruutu+ Premium by Nelonen Media.
Our responsibilities included the technical processing of content and quality optimization, and balancing high picture quality with smooth viewing experiences across different connection speeds.
Media Pocket’s new integrations and innovations
The year 2025 has already brought a host of new features and improvements to Media Pocket that simplify content management, distribution, and multichannel publishing, for example:
- CDN & streaming
- AI tagging with on-prem training
- A mini VOD-style portal to showcase productions
- WordPress, Adobe InDesign, and Labrador CMS integrations
AI and the media industry – an inseparable pair
Our AI survey offers fascinating insights into media professionals’ perspectives on artificial intelligence and its benefits. For example, AI-driven workflows save an average of 11 hours per week!
