Digital Asset Management, Collaboration, And Puck Control Made Easy For Extensive Stakeholders
The Finnish Ice Hockey Association found a cost-effective solution for digital asset management in Media Pocket. Thanks to it, sharing and receiving files is remarkably more effortless.

Ice hockey is Finland’s most popular sport. In many ways, something close to sacred. It comes as no surprise then, that the governing body responsible for the sport, the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, is always juggling a remarkable number of responsibilities.
A significant part of that workload involves handling various media files. To help manage their day-to-day operations more efficiently, the Ice Hockey Association went looking for a better way to manage their assets.
They found it in homegrown Finnish solution, Media Pocket.
Without Media Pocket, we would be receiving material via email download links and then transferring it elsewhere. Our current way of working also reduces the number of human errors and forgotten tasks.

Vast amounts of material and extensive stakeholder networks
In an organisation like the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, enormous volumes of material move in and out for both internal and external use. The Association needed a functional platform for its partners and stakeholders to upload and download materials for a variety of purposes.
In practice, this meant a solution capable of smoothly handling images, videos, and any other file formats required.
A good example is the numerous events organised by the association, during which it needs to share and receive significant volumes of material among various parties. Another pressing need was gathering advertising assets from sponsors for display on arena screens.
The solution would need to tick some very specific boxes:
- The ability to upload files without requiring a login
- Broad support for all file formats
- The ability to build versatile folder structures
- Access rights management: password-protecting folders or hiding them entirely
- Quickly accessible customer support
- Sensible pricing
“Media Pocket addressed the challenges we were facing. On top of that, features that would serve us even better were already on the roadmap, so we knew we would be able to offer our partners an even better service going forward,” Koivisto continues.
From words to action and real results

Conversations moved quickly from initial interest to concrete next steps.
We had specific, recurring challenges around our assets and they were easy to articulate. When solutions to each one were identified straight away, the decision made itself.
The Finnish Ice Hockey Association adopted Media Pocket as a SaaS service and were onboarded and trained on the essentials. After that, the platform was ready for full use. Since launch, support has always been fast and responsive, which was one of the association’s main requirements from a service provider.
Within a short time, the benefits of the platform moved from words to action. Koivisto notes that Media Pocket has significantly streamlined the collection and delivery of materials.
“Assets can now be uploaded and shared directly. No more download links, no more manually moving files from one place to another. The generous storage capacity has been an added bonus too, large files are no longer an issue,” Koivisto summarises.
Working with the Finnish Ice Hockey Association has been a great example of Media Pocket’s versatility and how it enables centralised asset collection across any industry.
